Is this just a heavier version of the polymer M&P?
Not exactly. The metal frame changes the entire shooting dynamic. You get less felt recoil and faster follow-up shots due to the added mass. The balance is also different, feeling more neutral and solid in the hand.
Will my M&P holsters fit this model?
Most holsters designed for the standard M&P 9 M2.0 with a 5″ barrel will fit, as the slide dimensions are the same. However, due to the slightly wider metal frame, some tight-fitting kydex holsters may require minor adjustment. Leather holsters generally have no issue.
We heard a story about a “too tight” gun?
